Our story

Where DhaaViRa began

You shouldn’t have to choose between how your clothes look and how they feel against your skin.

DhaaViRa began with a simple, uncomfortable fact: synthetic fabrics never really agreed with my skin. Itchy, uncomfortable and sometimes irritating, they were never fabrics I wanted to live in all day.

And living in the UK made getting dressed even more complicated. Cold mornings, mild afternoons, damp evenings, sometimes all in the same day. I found myself constantly adjusting, layering and compromising with clothes that didn’t quite feel right.

So I started looking for something different.

Hemp kept coming up: one of the oldest textile fibres, with a texture similar to linen. But I noticed something missing. Much of the hemp clothing I found was loose, very casual or heavily bohemian. I couldn’t find enough of the kind of pieces I actually wanted to wear: clothes with shape, structure and quiet elegance.

That became the starting point for DhaaViRa.

We’re starting with hemp and considered natural-fibre blends, bringing together the substance of better fibres with the structure and confidence of thoughtful tailoring. Structured shirts. Trousers with real shape. Everyday pieces chosen to feel comfortable, look polished and earn a place in your wardrobe.

Our pieces are made by a small manufacturing partner in India and finished in London, keeping the process personal as we build the brand.

DhaaViRa is still small. We’re still learning, refining and finding our place. But the idea behind it is simple: you shouldn’t have to choose between how your clothes look and how they feel against your skin.

DhaaViRa was created to bring both together.

Who we are for

Made with women 40 and beyond in mind

DhaaViRa is for women who have stopped buying for the sake of buying. Around four in ten women aged 50 and over say fashion and clothing does not cater to them.1 We want to be one of the brands that does.

She knows what suits her
She values fabric and fit over trends, and would rather keep a few good pieces for years than fill a wardrobe.
Comfort matters
She prefers natural fibres against her skin, and British weather means dressing for three seasons in one day.
Polish matters too
She wants to look put-together at work, at lunch or at the weekend, not bohemian, not festival, not “eco”.
Straight answers
She reads the label and wants honest fibre content and fit notes, not buzzwords.

We choose every piece with her in mind. If that sounds like you at any age, you’re very welcome here.
