Craft & care
Made with care, meant to be worn
A garment's story does not end at the till. We think about every chapter after it.
Made with care
We select every piece for its fabric, fit and finish. We look closely at seams, finishes and details, and choose cuts with shape and quiet elegance.
Our pieces are made by a small manufacturing partner in India and finished in London.
Don’t discard me
Plant your seed tag
Every DhaaViRa swing tag is made from paper embedded with seeds. Here is how to plant it.
Tear
Remove the string, then tear the tag into small pieces.
Plant
Lay the pieces on moist compost in a pot or a sunny patch of garden and cover them with a thin layer of soil, a few millimetres deep.
Water
Water gently and keep the soil damp, never soaked, while the seeds germinate.
Watch me grow
How quickly seedlings appear depends on the seed variety, the season and the warmth. Keep watering as they grow.
Caring for natural fibres
Keep it beautiful
Always follow the care label inside your garment first. These are general tips; each product page will add care notes from our own washes.
- Wash
- Wash cool, around 30°C, on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Airing a garment between wears often means it needs washing less.
- Avoid
- Bleach and harsh stain removers, unless the care label says otherwise.
- Dry
- Reshape while damp and dry flat or on a hanger, away from strong direct sun.
- Press
- Steam, or iron while slightly damp on a medium-hot setting. Or embrace the natural crease.
- Store
- Fold knits, hang woven pieces, and keep them somewhere cool, dry and airy.
Repair and rewear
Mend, don’t replace
A loose button or a small tear is part of a well-loved garment's life, not the end of it. If a DhaaViRa piece needs attention, write to us and we will help you find the best way to repair it.
